What if you do not have any Points?

Conclusion:

You can use this method as many times as you like, to generate IHG points at 0.7 cents a piece. Since the Pointbreaks are only 5,000 points per night, it essentially means you are getting a room for $35.

However, you can apply for the IHG rewards club credit card and earn 70,000 points which is enough for 14 nights at Pointbreaks hotels. Always ensure that your account has 5000 points or more to take advantage of Pointbreaks or any award night sale, since you can generate as many IHG points as you like using this method.
