Recently, we had the opportunity to stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk Of Fame. This hotel is in a great location for anyone visiting Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Since this hotel is in a touristy location, nightly rates are in the range of $250 + Taxes + Parking fee (if applicable), If you redeem IHG rewards points, you will need to pay 35,000 points per night.

Reception and parking are located in the first floor and the 104 rooms are located in 2nd floor and above. This hotel advertises that you could view the “Hollywood sign” from the hotel rooms, but that is only possible from 2 rooms.

This hotel only gives you the option of “valet parking” and there is a flat $22/night charge with in & out privileges. Check in was quick and we were upgraded from King Suite to 2 Queen Executive suite, which is spacious for the location. Being a platinum member, we received 500 points towards welcome gift.

We also received a personalized welcome letter from the hotel manager.

This Hotel offers complimentary breakfast, which includes hot and cold menu with a typical Holiday Inn express menu. However, the breakfast area is quite small and is crowded during the whole period.

You could see and hear the traffic in front of the hotel. You may not have sound sleep If you are sensitive to noise during sleep. This hotel would benefit noise isolating windows.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and maximized the benefit of being close to Hollywood Blvd. We redeem the “Annual free night” benefit offered by IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card

Easiest way to rack up IHG points is through IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card . You could get 70,000 points (80,000 points by matching with chase) and another benefit of this card is “Annual free night worldwide”

Conclusion:

We recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk Of Fame during our 2 day visit to Los Angeles. This hotel is in a great location for any visiting the Hollywood area.

Cost per night is approximately $300 including taxes and parking. However, we paid only for parking as we redeemed our annual free night benefit offered by IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card.
