This is a great deal, as it is an instant discount instead of rebate. If you are working towards minimum spending on any Credit Card signup bonus, this could be a great opportunity to meet the spend requirements and make some money in the process.
You can maximize this promotion by using Chase Ink credit card which offers 5X ultimate rewards at Office Supply stores. There is a limit of 2 offers per customer, but you can be able to visit a different store or visit another day to buy again.
It looks like this promotion is only valid at OfficeMax locations only. Visa/MasterCard gift cards purchased from OfficeMax are issued by Meta Bank/US Bank and can be loaded to Serve.
Here is the Math
Each $200 Visa gift card carries a one time fee of $6.95 and $100 Visa Gift card carries a $5.95 fee. You can buy $300 Visa gift cards for $292.90 (profit of $7.10 and $300 spend on your card)
If you choose two $200 Visa gift cards, you can buy the $400 Visa gift cards for $393.90 (Profit of $6.10 and $400 spend on your card)
Note that you cannot buy Variable Visa gift cards ($20-$500 visa gift cards) with credit card.
