Changes to the Rewards Program:

Discover has changed their rewards program and I think they are in a positive way. Here is a summary of the changes.

you can redeem any amount of cashback for a statement credit, bank deposit or charitable donation

From Apr 1st 2015, you will no longer be able to redeem cashback for Discover gift cards.  While it is good to have options, I think removing this feature should not be a real concern, as you will get most value out of the program if you redeem cashback for partner gift cards.

You cashback will never expire now, If your account is closed or there is no account activity  for 18 months, you cashback will be posted as a statement credit.
