Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) is one of the largest hotel chain with over 4,500 properties across the globe.  There are about 30 IHG hotels in India, and one the newest addition to the hotels in India is the Intercontinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort

This property is about 45 kms from the Chennai city and has access to a beautiful coast line. Mahabalipuram is an UNESCO world heritage site, so there is a lot to see.

Rooms at this hotel look modern offering luxury and all the facilities you expect a resort. Here is an image of the classic room from the hotel gallery.

This is a category 6 property with 105 rooms, you need 35,000 IHG points for a reward night at this property. Revenue rates at this hotel are approximately INR 8,000 – 9,000 for a standard room.
