What can you do with 60,000 AAdvantage miles?

You can redeem AAdvantage miles for saver awards on AA starting at 12,500 miles each way (US Domestic travel). If you plan on redeeming for a trip to India, you need

  • 40,000 miles for a one way economy class ticket between USA & India
  • 70,000 miles for a one way Business class ticket between USA & India
  • 115,000 miles for a one way First class ticket between USA & India

If the minimum spend requirements is too much for you or if you need more miles, You can always apply for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard and get 50,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 or more with in 3 months. $95 Annual fee – Waived for the first year or apply for American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Credit card

Important Terms & Conditions:

  • For some reason, if you do not like the card, you could get a full refund of the annual fee within 37 days from the day it is cancelled.
  • No partial refund of the annual fee after the 37 day grace period.
  • You can only get 1 Citi card in 8 days and 2 Citi cards in 65 days.

Conclusion:

You can get 60,000 bonus AAdvantage miles when you open a Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard  and spend $5,000 or more within 3 months of card opening. Annual fee $450 is not waived for the first year, but you get a range of benefits including Admirals Club membership.

In the past, there have been higher signup bonuses available for this card, however 50,000 bonus miles seems to be the normal bonus recently.
